Write like the owner

How I write emails that sound like the person who did the job.

Most lists I open already have a from-name that says "info" or the shop's legal name. People delete those. They open a note from the person they paid.

I sit with the last few jobs and write the way the owner talks on the floor. Short. Specific. The garage on Tuesday, not a 10 percent off banner. You approve the voice in month one. After that I write and you glance.

If an email is wrong, I rewrite it. I don't argue for a brand voice you don't have.
